Overview

Named after a popular (at the time) F-sports (food-sports) competitor, Leopold's Belly is a large supplier of hydrogen and other crucial gases used by the Imperium. Possessing a breathable upper atmosphere, Leopold's Belly is covered in a network of floating platforms dedicated to harvesting, preparing, and sending off the multitude of gasses. Life here is simple though dangerous, as while gas harvesting isn't particularly difficult it is very dangerous, with random swells throwing workers loosely secured off their platform and plummeting into the super dense storm filled lower atmosphere. The largest storms occasionally rise to the habitable zone, and the platforms caught in them swell side to side like a ship in a hurricane. The platforms are tough and almost never critically damaged by this, but the inhabitants aren't so lucky as they get thrown into bulkheads with significant force. War has not properly touched Leopold's Belly yet, although occasional cults have to be put down there has yet to be an incident the PDF and their air corps couldn't handle. Time will tell if this world becomes the target of humanity's enemies.
