Overview
A civilized world found in Confedus, Dalanzadha is known for their odd practices and wildly different Guard regiments.
Tsentver and Planetary Culture
Dalanzadha is of particular interest to Imperial adepts as the world's culture is centered around a concept of balance they term 'Tsentver' - every productive action must be met with an equal counterpart. For example, for every field of crops planted and tended, an equal amount of fields must be burnt and salted, every city must have a slum town equal in misery to the city's splendor. This concept has prevented Dalanzadha from prospering as much as they should, but their tithe has always been met, although every tithe has a counterpart they burn or render unusable. This odd custom extends to their PDF as well, with a balance formed between armed and trained soldiers and unarmed, untrained rabble, with any Guard regiment they are tithed having a balanced counterpart that does nothing useful, are undisciplined, and cause trouble (though only the positive balance regiments are actually sent as part of the tithe).
In the field Dalanzadhars maintain the balance in a different way, with every confirmed kill leading to a ritual of self scarification - unfortunately their commitment to this balance is so great heavy weapons users often die of self inflicted cuts after a successful battle, all to balance hordes they've killed. The ecclesiarchy watches Dalanzadhar to make sure that Tsentver does not cross from wasteful to heretical, but thus far the world has maintained loyalty to the Imperium. Imperial scholars are still researching what caused this unique cultural diversion, with the leading theory being the colonists are descended from the original settlers who were all members of a alternative sect of the Imperial Creed, called Tsaorism.
