Specialties

Imperial Guard Specializations can differ signifantly based off homeworld, regiment type, or skills and preferences of the regiment themselves. Not every regiment from the same world will share the same specialization, but generally they will be alike. The list below is an example of the most common specializations, but is not all encompassing.

Most Common Specializations

1	Drill & Discipline: Well-organised and practiced, this Regiment enforces strict discipline and training on its members, making them unlikely to run or panic in the middle of fierce battles.
2	Counter: Trained and organised to fight a specific foe. They're good at breaking them over their knee, but tend to struggle, or rather show aggressive mediocrity, against other foes.
3	Stealth Warfare: Trained or naturally stealthy, this regiment relies on sneaking and surprise attacks.
4	Lightning Warfare: They specialise in hitting their enemies hard and fast, decimating the foe before they have any opportunity to react. Often armored or mechanized, though drop or even mobilized line regiments can also specialize in this.
5	Trench Warfare: Trained and skilled at defensive warfare. Like the Death Korps of Krieg, these regiments excel in brutal trench to trench battles and holding defensive points
6	Close Combat: Rip and Tear incarnate; they love fixing bayonets and introducing the pointy end to the enemy. This regiment focuses on melee and short ranged weapons, skilled in using them though to the detriment of their ranged firepower.
7	Ranged Combat: Who needs bayonets when you can turn night into day through sheer volume of lasgun shots? This regiment focuses on effective ranged combat but normally folds like tissue paper in close combat.
8	Shock & Awe: Specialises in breaking enemy morale and putting the fear of the Emperor's legions in their foes through overwhelming displays of firepower and force.
9	Guerrilla Warfare: Ambushing, traps, and tying up enemy units are their speciality. Think Rambo, except there's an entire regiment of him. Similar to Stealth Warfare, but far more underequipped and cutoff
10	Hive and Urban Warfare: Specialises in fighting in the cramped urban conditions of cities and hives or other urban terrain.
