Overview

A tropical feral world that has resisted any attempts at proper colonization, Helion Prime is unique among feral worlds in Eternum as there should be no reason settlements should not thrive, though every attempt has ended in disaster. The only permanent inhabitants of the world are nomadic tribals, descended from survivors of colonization efforts, who roam the world living off the land. Their most advanced technology being stone clubs and hide tents, their tribes are led by revered True-Seers, who pass their history down orally and lead their tribes to both search for sustenance and war against rival tribes. The few investigators sent to ascertain why settlements (and technology itself) fail on the world only return with fragments of the truth hidden in mythology. One constant emerges among all tribal stories however, that the world itself is angry at those who try to conquer it. This is dismissed by most, though they struggle to explain the earthquakes, inclement weather, and unruly fauna and flora that target those who use any technology, nor can they explain the 'Ikon of Helion' that supposedly leads these attacks. Those more knowledgeable in the Ordos Xenos believe Helion Prime is actually an Eldar world under the protection of one or more Exodites, though there has been no push to verify or cleanse this for many reasons- chiefly being that it would be a brutal campaign with little payoff as Helion Prime lacks any significant stores of minerals and the tribesmen make good riders in Guard forces. As long as the low manpower tithe paid (organized by the planetary governor who oversees the world from his orbital station) the Imperium is unlikely to devote the resources needed for a proper purge.
