Overview

Once a bustling civilized world with cities stretching across the few islands in the ocean, Junyo suffered an outbreak of a particularly virulent plague tainted by the Rotbelchers and empowered by the warp during the First Poxwar, further strengthened by Junyo's relative lack of faith (a dispassionate population and governing dynasty who paid only lip service to the Ecclesiarchy). This plague, which could only survive in a warp touched world unshielded by the righteous shield of faith, was transmitted by eye contact, a novel transmission designed to target the population's vanity, and one that was incredibly successful. The world fell before the first Imperial reinforcements arrived, and owing to its danger the Ordos Sepulcher ordered the world destroyed through the repeated firing of building sized Exterminatus grade melta torpedoes. Although not a primary recruitment world for the Crimson Hammer by any stretch, the Hammer had recruited select individuals who showed immense promise, exclusively from Junyo's frontier, though the surviving marines were the among first to fall to the Crimson Grief.
