Overview
A planet with a misleading name courtesy of the Rogue Trader who sold its location to the Mechanicus long ago, Grasslan is a volcano world that has proven incredibly useful to the forges of Filimars. For reasons unknown to the Imperium Grasslan's lava is predominantly composed of the minerals used to make ceramite, thus the lava provides material ready to make the large quantities of armor used in the sector. Unpurified lava is used to create the weaker ceramite used in mass flak armor construction, where refined lava is able to quickly be forged into Stormtrooper armor and vehicle armor. Using the same type of harvest zeppelins as Pompei with extra servitors over crew, the lava is scooped up and forged and distilled into ingots before export to Filimars. Grasslan does maintain defensive Skittarii and ships, though they almost exclusively defend against the odd pirate attack trying to plunder a zeppelin versus a planetary invasion.
