Overview
Located in the Richmon subsector, the Iron Gate, originally known as Ironquar, was a resource world that was attacked by the remnants of the Green Kroosade. Imperial reinforcements quickly responded, as did the Mechanicus of Filimars, and fought the orks to a brutal standstill. What once were massive mines and quarries are now massive trench lines and bunkers, however, the Imperium has purposefully frustrated the orks with hundreds of miles of empty trenches filled with traps and no fight. As such, Dakkasaur's WAAAGH!!!'s Boyz view assignment to the world as a bad deal, preferring to push into Kalibras instead. Dakkasaur is fine with this, as these are his favored enemies and are 'da fightiest'.
The Iron Gate still holds with the advent of The Second Poxwar, though it remains to be seen if the Orks will seize the advantage while the Imperium is distracted in Caligulas.
