	Arguably the most resource rich world in Eternum, certainly in [[Confedus]], Ajax is combed with tunnels and mining pits, with some tunnels even reaching lava below. Originally a habitable world, millenia of aggressive mining, mining and processing runoff, and plate-cracking has turned Ajax into an utterly inhospitable world with a breathable atmosphere filled with carcinogens and no life other than the hordes of miners, prisoners, guards, and servitors. The population of Ajax lives in the tunnels and pits that they previously mined, with a massive rail network linking depleted veins where miners live to fresh deposits of resources. Prisoners mine the less important and less skill-intensive resources, living in isolated communities made up entirely of other prisoners - the guards of the world merely wait at the exit railline, keeping prisoners working and from rising up by controlling food shipments, for if the prisoners fail to send fresh resources they'll find food and water running out shortly. This is mostly a smooth system, though occasionally a guard who was insulted will let a tunnel-mine starve in retribution, or a tunnel-mine that had less resources than originally expected finds themselves starving as they have nothing to send up line. Non-indentured miners live slightly better, their skill in flogiston mining among others allowing them a few luxuries in their mine-dens. These systems normally keep the peace, though there have been a few uprisings - some based off oppression, some heretical - as such, Ajax has a sizable PDF and a strategic value Primus, were Ajax to stop shipments for even a few local months, several critical Imperial factories would begin to run out of material, and were Ajax to be taken by an enemy the damage to the Imperium would be immense. Luckily for the Imperium, this is unlikely as the world lies in the [[Pax Confedus]], the region of Eternum that is the most peaceful.
