The younger of the famed ''Sunsinger'' twins, Ellethor is a passionate and visionary leader who believes the only path to salvation for the Aeldari race lies through a great and necessary death, culminating in rebirth through the aegis of the Whispering God, ''Ynnead''.

			Like his brother Elenduil, Ellethor was a rising star of the Alaitoc Craftworld, having walked the Path of the Warrior with distinction as a Shining Spear and the Path of the Outcast, which profoundly shaped his worldview. It was during his time as a Ranger that he witnessed the true, decaying horror of the galaxy and first encountered the agents of the Ynnari. Their message of defiant hope through embracing the cycle of death resonated deeply with him.

			When Farseer Maerthandil revealed his dual-vision of Alaitoc's doom, Ellethor became the foremost advocate for the path of transformation. He argued that the craftworld's rigid traditions were a gilded cage, and that only by passing through the "cleansing fire" could their people be saved. He willingly joined the exile, becoming the fiery heart of the newly-formed Luminai and the founding commander of its Ynnari-leaning battlegroup, The Twilight Phoenix.

			== Combat Doctrine and Legacy ==
			Ellethor is a commander of immense personal courage and tactical boldness. His strategies favor high-risk, high-reward assaults aimed at decapitating the enemy leadership and breaking their spirit utterly. He believes in delivering a definitive, terrifying message to the enemies of the Aeldari.

			On the battlefield, he is a whirlwind of motion, typically fighting with his enhanced Warp Jump Generator and blessed spear, the Spear of the Phoenix. He leads from the front, inspiring his Twilight Phoenix warriors with his unwavering conviction. His forces see themselves as the sacred flame that must burn away the rot of the old world to make way for the new, and they follow him with a zealot's fervor.

			His ongoing philosophical conflict with his twin brother, Elenduil, defines the Luminai. Where Elenduil seeks perfection, Ellethor seeks transformation. Where Elenduil values preservation, Ellethor values purgation. This schism is played out in every campaign the warhost undertakes, making Ellethor a pivotal figure in the warhost's ultimate fate.
