== Overview ==
An object of curiosity for [[Filimars]], Riker is a dead world that nonetheless has signs of ancient Xenos civilization. Riker itself is a dark world with even its days dimly lit owing to its distance from its star and the large dust clouds that blanket the system. The Imperium has a few research outposts on the world under the control of the Adeptus Mechanicus of Filimars and the Ordo Xenos of the Inquisition, each lightly staffed and studying the ancient runes and surviving structures. For the less experienced adept or less augmented tech-priests, Riker is an unpleasant world not helped at all by the rumors of ghosts of the long dead Xenos. The Inquisition and Mechanicus have dismissed these as the bored stories of adepts and menials assigned to assist the outposts, but the occasional disappearance of outpost staff does little to help their denial.

Unbeknownst to both factions, though there are outliers who suspect the world contains more than it appears, Riker is the primary tomb world for the Necrons who have long slumbered under Eternum's worlds. With the coming of the [[The Second Poxwar|Second Poxwar]], the ancient Necrontyr are beginning to stir beneath the dark sand of Riker.
