New page

An anomaly with a matching rift near the Bubonic Rift, the Serpent's Tear is a gateway to the forces of Chaos in the sector.

Overview
The Serpent's Tear, tied to another small warp rift near the Bubonic Rift named the Serpent's Eye, was catalogued via augar scans after the Phobox Expansion. The anomoly did not appear to Imperial scans before Kalibras grew, though Imperial adepts believe it was merely hidden like so many others that were victim to the Phobox Anamoly. Inaccessible to the Imperium due to the Nullzone, it was initially believed to be a great threat to the safety of Eternum as it provided the Rotbelchers the perfect flank to pincer Eternum's coreward subsectors. This threat never materialized, although Imperial strategists are unsure exactly why, it is believed that the Nullzone, whatever it is, is as dangerous to the followers of Chaos as it is to the Imperium. This is little consolation to Imperial forces, especially in light of the Blufall disappearance, though calls for an Imperial fortress to defend bordering Kalibras have not gained traction given the dawning of the Second Poxwar. The military training world of Jackson Pits has been reinforced with permanent defenders, with planned expansion of Jackson Pits's fortifications to alleviate concerns.
