Overview
A hive world with only a handful of hives and scores of manufactorums, with most near the capital city Hive City Derosa, Auerilis IV has been the site of many smaller attacks from the plague God's forces, though the bulk are contained by the Aural Gate. Auerilis IV is a priority target for the enemies of the Imperium, as here critical supplies for the Aural Gate are produced, shipped, and relayed to the front - were Auerilis IV to suffer severe damage or fall, the Aural Gate would likely be soon to follow. Luckily for the Imperium, only smaller ships with very experienced navigators (or the favorable blessings of the ruinous powers) are able to bypass the Aural Gate, and even they take a great risk in doing so. The planet is covered in large hives and manufactorums connected through intricate railways and super-highways that cross desolated badlands, with the largest manufactorums joined to the nearest hives. Auerilis IV is a dreary world, with grey ash deserts and frequent acid rain, and scores of dissatisfied menials who chafe under Governor Dreric Vance's leadership. This leadership has seen scores of armed menial rebellions rise, only to be quickly put down by the Arbites and enforcers. Auerilis IV was the site of one of the earliest battles that heralded the Second Poxwar, with the Rotbelchers, 812th Tetuanis Greyhounds, and mysterious Eldar each pursuing their own objective on the world.
