Autarch Elenduil Sunsinger is the co-commander of the renegade Aeldari warhost known as The Luminai and the stern leader of its traditionalist faction, The Spear of Khaine. The elder of the Sunsinger twins, Elenduil is a master strategist and a staunch traditionalist who believes the Aeldari's survival depends on the flawless and ruthless execution of their ancient martial arts, unsullied by what he views as the dangerous heresies of new gods.

History

Elenduil walked the Path of the Warrior with peerless discipline, mastering the ways of the Dire Avengers and Striking Scorpions before ascending to the rank of Autarch. He was a paragon of Alaitoc's philosophy: victory through superior intelligence, precision, and minimal expenditure of force.

When Farseer Maerthandil's vision revealed a future civil war over the Ynnari, Elenduil saw the preservation of his craftworld's unity as the highest priority. He agreed to the exile not out of a desire for transformation, but to prove that the old ways, perfected, were sufficient to avert doom. He formed the Spear of Khaine as a testament to this belief, molding it into an instrument of such perfect wrath that it would never need to rely on external salvation.

Combat Doctrine and Legacy

Elenduil is the epitome of the Aeldari warrior-scholar. His strategies are exercises in flawless geometry, using Rangers to isolate the enemy and elite Aspect Warriors to deliver overwhelming, decisive blows. He abhors waste and unnecessary risk, viewing his brother's methods as reckless and spiritually costly.

He is rarely seen without his distinctive familiar, a Wyvach known as "Fireheart." Unusually large and possessed of a deep crimson scale-coloration, this creature is more than a pet; it is a psychic familiar and a hunting partner. It often perches on the hull of his command Wave Serpent or soars ahead of his forces, its sharp eyes and psychic senses feeding him a constant stream of tactical data, making his command of the battlefield nearly omniscient.
