Led by Admiral Chester Halsey | Led by Admiral Chester Halsey aboard the ''Ticonderoga'', Battlefleet Kalibras excels in carrier based fleet operations from their long history of xenos interdiction and anti-pirate operations. Carrier based operations are frowned upon by the rest of Eternum's Imperial Naval forces who primarily use their strike craft to intercept enemy bombers, though Kalibras's tactics have proven effective against the rising tide of Eldar Corsairs and Ork raiders. Battlefleet Kalibras vessels strip out excess gun batteries in favor of more launch bays for strike craft, and thus their firepower is lacking compared to other Battlefleets, though their bomber waves can more than make up for this deficit. | ||

The remaining ships that once served the proud Arkamedes subsector, Battlefleet Arkamedes is led by Vice Admiral Louis de Calant aboard the ''Bretagne'' Armageddon class Battlecruiser. Battlefleet Arkamedes suffers from a poor reputation owing to the actions of the 12th Arkamedian Battlegroup during the [[The First Poxwar|First Poxwar]], who tempted by false promises from Chaos which offered salvation for the long lost to Orks Arkamedes subsector betrayed their fellows and led to a slaughter of Imperial forces. The 12th escaped judgement during the First Poxwar, joining [[the Rotfleet]] in their retreat to Putrilocus, but Eternum has unofficially condemned Arkamedes as a whole - so much so that certain worlds in Makerus are incredibly dangerous for Arkamedians to visit as the local populace take their revenge. The loyalist Arkamedians serve hard to try to restore their subsector's name, fighting for the eventual day the Imperium moves to retake the subsector from the Orks. Although equipped with weaker ships that are surplus or discarded by the other Battlefleets, Arkamedes manages to fight well with the ships it does have, using multiple approaches that seek to take total advantage of the mix of assets they have access to - as a result, instead of the more focused configurations used by the other Battlefleets, Arkamedes utilizes a more generalist approach. |
