Overview

A world infamous for its pacification of its menials, Choibalasin has unique pheromones innate to its flora that when combined with Adeptus Mechanicus Genator bio-engineering completely inhibit aggression centers of any human who consumes the produced food, turning them into peaceful lemmings. The menials of Choibalsan will not and cannot experience anger or retaliate if hit, though this has other side effects that significantly hamper their self preservation. So pacified are the menials that even if their field or processing plant they're working in catches fire, they'll continue to pick burning crops or turn the mill as they catch fire. They are not servitors proper and have some measure of independence, though otherwise they make ideal menial labor for the overseers of Choibalsan.

The chemical that is responsible for their pacification, Nostros, must constantly be administered to the menials lest they start to slowly recover, and thus every local meal served to the menials is infused with Nostros. Choibalsan has a significant output of provisions owing to their ability to constantly overwork their workers with no threat of uprising, and Choibalsan Choice is a common label at the more upscale middle-class grocers. Enterprising merchants, nobles, and certain Imperial officials have tried to transplant Nostros from Choibalsan to other worlds, but unfortunately for them (and fortunately for the countless workers) Nostros cannot survive long outside Choibalsan, limiting the pacification chemical to the world itself and its orbit. Choibalsan's only tithe is agricultural as it has neither the PDF or willpower to properly produce Guardsmen, and its PDF is correspondingly small owing to the almost non-existent threat of uprising or rioting.
