Overview

Declared off limits by the Ordos Malleus, Kinchare was one of two worlds that bordered the once nascent Phobox Anomaly. Unlike Larback, Kinchare was not invaded by the forces of the ruinous powers and instead was torched by warp energies when the anomaly expanded. Imperial forces eager to learn the fate of the world after the Phobox Anomaly expanded landed on a world frozen in time. The warp energy that touched Kinchare froze everything in the place they were when the warp reached them, from people going about their daily business to aircars frozen in place, Kinchare became as still as a pict-capture. The Inquisition quickly became aware of this from the stories told by the first visitors to the cursed planet, and after an investigation by the Ordos Malleus and minor Ordos Timur declared Kinchare off limits and eliminated all crew who were originally sent to investigate. Automated defense platforms and hordes of naval mines were placed in orbit to deter any visitors, though the excessively clever, or lucky, rarely slip past and loot what they can from the world. Especially valuable among those who have very loose interpretations of the Imperial Creed or veer outright into heresy, the Kinchare Tears have proven a very profitable, if tainted, item. Named after the source, Kinchare Tears are scraped off the faces of those stuck in the warp energies that froze Kinchere, and used like Obscura or for more sinister purposes by rogue psykers. Those who peddle them know not their origin, nor why they can be found on faces already harvested before.
