Overview

Named after the unfortunate rogue trader who first visited, Corpulent's Gambit (more commonly called 'The Gambit') is one of the systems on the other side of the Tonitro Passage. The Gambit was mostly uninhabited before the reach opened, and since opening it has become a sister port to Yeomen's Port, having the same ner do wells, smugglers, pirates, mercenaries, and other disreputable types. The Imperium maintains a small observation point here to watch the neutron star, but little official presence otherwise. Unofficially, several Inquisitors and slightly heretekical techpriests make visits to the bars and markets of 'The Den', the main station in the system, to find rumors, trade for xenotech or artifacts, or order subtle hits on rivals.
