Overview

Another victim of the First Poxwar, Regina was once a verdant civilized world that over the years had supplied the Crimson Hammer with many villeins and even aspirants who mastered the intricate forges found in Regina's cities. Regina was heavily defended by its skilled PDF, Guard regiments, and Crimson Hammer forces who anticipated the attack, though they were unprepared for the reality. The Orbital Battlegroup that would be responsible for tying up the heretic fleet (the Arkamedian 12th Battlegroup) revealed it's true colors and joined the Rotbelchers fleet in virus bombing the planet, choking the defenders with terrifying weapons from the dark age of technology. Even the Crimson Hammer's armor could not stand up to the tainted weapons, and the world was brutally cleansed of life, with the flash fire igniting the volatile compounds produced by the virus bomb bringing a welcome inferno that flensed the atmosphere and all life from the world.

Admiral Petain, the foul traitor who helped the Rotbelchers carry out this deed, escaped judgement and fled through the Bubonic rift when the Imperium began to push back, escaping judgement. Inquisitorial intelligence eventually surmised that the betrayal was planted in Petain by agents of the ruinous powers who promised the power to reclaim Arkamedes from the orks, and Petain, who had long grown jaded by the lack of Imperial efforts to reclaim his home was tempted to betray the Imperium. Regina's loss is a sore wound even now for those in Makerus, and the remnants of Battlefleet Arkamedes are ostracized for the Admiral's actions still - so much so that Arkamedes remnants avoid Makerus, as they will often find themselves attacked on shore leave by individuals who believe Petain's actions damned all of Arkamedes. Today the world stands abandoned, with the only life found on isolated mining outposts in the system.
