Overview
Watchman of the Tenebris Wound, Epsilon Alpha is an Imperial Navy station that monitors the warp rift for any anomalous activity. The Tenebris Wound, for reasons unknown, connects Eternum to random points in the Empyreum with no discernible pattern, with ships that entered the warp from far away points in the Galaxy exiting the warp at the edge of the Wound. Ships from Terra to Baal have arrived at the system, with neither time nor destination having much effect. Epsilon Alpha exists to verify ships who exit the Wound's identity, and if they're hostile, try to stop them from entering Eternum proper. The Inquisition and Mechanicus have both taken an interest in the rift, and ships with extensive augar arrays escorted by Battlefleet Eternum occasionally launch missions to discern the rift's secrets. Loyalist vessels seem to exit the rift more than hostile traitors or xenos, though Epsilon Alpha is on high alert for any signs of danger. Though it lacks the warp inhibitors common to other Eternum fortresses, its position near the common exit points, along with its attendant fleets, macrocannon batteries and other armament, allows the void station to destroy most would be dangers before they can attack Eternum proper.
