Overview

A rough and dangerous mining world, Holstein is a subject of the Redmane Rogue Trader dynasty. Holstein primarily mines resources used to manufacture plasteel, though there are significant prometheum deposits that are also exploited. The desert expanses of Holstein are untamed and filled with scavengers, bandits, and pirates, while the only settlements are fortified mines and prometheum wells. All trade between settlements or resources for the tithe are carried in massive wheeled transports called Behemoths, heavily armored and prime targets for the bandits and pirates of Holstein. Holstein Battle Wagons escort Behemoths and range from Taurox sized Scout Wagons to massive Baneblade sized Heavy Wagons. While armed with stubbers and autoguns and armor much weaker than even a Chimera, Battle Wagons are equipped to deal with the average pirates that plague Holstein, and as added benefit their size and design has attracted the race obsessed nobles of Vegon Quartius, cementing Battle Wagons as a symbol of the Redmane dynasty. The planet itself has been ruled by Lord Hughmungus for over a century, a warlord who reports directly to Redmane's seneschal and has earned the Rogue Trader's favor, exemplified in his extensive and expensive juvenat treatments.
