Overview

A once civilized world, since reclassified as a death world, that entered a highly elliptical orbit due to the overambitious efforts of a (later deemed heretikal) tech priest Magos who attempted to push the world into an orbit favorable to a massive agri-world with xeno-tech, Siber has a ten Terra year long orbit, spending 2,920 Terran days out of its 3650 Terran day long orbit far enough from its sun to freeze the planet over. The citizens of Siber spend the cold days in massive cryotombs kept functional by Coldwatchers chosen from the most loyal planetary house guards, awakening only when Siber re-enters the warmzone and thaws. These warm seasons are celebrated by the populace who awaken, before they immediately resume their duties and work. Siber is home to several forges that produce melta weaponry, both small arms and vehicle melta and other parts, and they still meet their tithe even though they're only worked for a small portion of the Siber year. The Techpriests of Filimars are responsible for the locally realistic tithe through political pressure on the Administratum by redesignating Siber a death world, both out of desire to study the cryotombs and a desire to keep the rare (for Eternum) melta forges operational. Though there is talk of trying to reestablish a proper orbit, the fabricators of Filimars deem the risk of permanently freezing the world too great.
