Overview

Zuunmod is a typical Agri-World, possessing large agricultural domes with soil polluted with millennia of heavy fertilizer use. So over-fertilized is the soil that it is excessively dangerous for unprotected individuals to touch, thus Zuunmod's farmers and menials work in bulky chemical suits that are cumbersome and worn down. Individuals exposed when their suits inevitably break down and rupture, or unfortunate people who spent too long in the fumes the soil give off, are horribly mutated as the fertilizers induce hyper growth, forcing them to flee to one of many hidden mutant enclaves or risk being found and executed. These mutant enclaves are a constant thorn in the side of overseers, as they frequently raid agricultural domes or shipments slated for export, thus the PDF is used to safeguard production as much as possible. Even with this protection, Zuunmod suffers repeated losses to mutant attacks, further dimming prospects for a world whose soil has been pushed to the brink. Imperial Adepts believe the world's food production will stop in the coming centuries, followed by a complete collapse of the biosphere leaving just a toxic wasteland utterly uninhabitable by even the mutants. Zuunmod will likely live on after death through the famed Zuunmod Gas Regiments, Guardsmen whose experience dealing with the lethally hazardous fertilizers of Zuunmod makes them some of the most skilled chemical warfare specialists. Gas Regiments can be found throughout the sector, though they're particularly prized for their ability to match the biological warfare of the Rotbelchers with lethal antiseptics oft deployed by their Bane Wolves, artillery gas shells, and Chemthrowers converted from standard flamers.
