Overview
A minor world in the Kalibras subsector, Kathu has few things of note. Dominated by large badlands interspersed with mesas, plateaus, and rock formations, most of the world's population lives in the few savannas and monotone forests that dot the mountains fencing in the savannas. The badlands are dotted with mining outposts, scavenger forts, pirate dens, and the occasional PDF or Imperial outpost. The bulk of the world's tithe are raw materials, with humans composing the rest. The world has only a few refineries that provide for local needs, with no serious Adeptus Mechanicus presence. Klathu is, however, the closest world to the Wyatt Frontier, and serves as a last stop for those looking for Imperial goods or equipment before moving on to the harsh frontier worlds in search of a better life. Klathu hosts several regiments in transit awaiting transport to Eternum's fronts at any given time, and the rugged terrain allows Regimental exercises during long stretches waiting for chartered transports to arrive.
