Overview
A favored pleasure world of Eternum's nobility, Amaseco is a small world built to be paradise, with massive hidden machinery ensuring the world is always a comfortable temperature, storm-free, and sunny. Although Amaseco has many trappings of other pleasure worlds, casinos, luxury lodgings, safaris, and the best food possible, it's true claim to fame is its expansive amasec vineyards.
Luxuries and Life on Amaseco
This vineyards stretch for hundreds of miles and rich nobles can ride grav-carts through them, stopping to taste the different drinks produced in that section of vineyard, or hunting the native Dodjays - a slow docile flying animal that eats grass and other plants and converts it to alcohol internally, having a version of amasec in lieu of traditional blood, the meat of Dodjays is premarinated and particularly savory, while they reproduce rapidly and are easy enough to hunt for unskilled nobles that they've become a staple of the pleasure world. Realizing the value Dodjays can bring, as well as being a source of easy and quickly growing meat, individuals or smugglers often try to take Dodjays off world, an action Amaseco has worked tirelessly to prevent. Amasecos PDF constantly and stealthy check and scan for any Dodjays in unauthorized areas (or in luggage of departing individuals), and are incredibly effective in preventing the Dodjays from being spread to other worlds. Amaseco has to play a careful political game to keep the Imperium from requisitioning Dodjays for other worlds as they could both help starving worlds and lower the cost of fine dining or amasec, something Amaseco's governor Archduchess Marianne Theresa Victoria Schoenhoffer Antionette is terrified of and works endlessly to prevent. Luckily for her, Amaseco's doting clientele and compensated luxury vacations as political favors maintain their hegemony on the Dodjay. As a pleasure world, Amaseco has a low tithe, only being responsible for low grade rotgut amasec and medical grade amasec, along with Guard regiments and Naval armsmen who specialize in anti-smuggling operations.
