Overview
The sight of an ongoing resettlement effort by the Imperium, Caliphornus has a troubled history only matched by its bountiful harvests. The most recent incident was an outbreak of the plague of unbelief, modified to include outwardly healthy individuals who had pledged themselves to the plague god and broke quarantine to further the infection. Guard regiments sent to contain the outbreak were quickly defeated or subverted, with only a joint Inquisitorial and Bulwark purge freeing the planet from the clutches of Chaos. Reclamation efforts are ongoing with strict curfews and quarantines in effect, led by specialist regiments and Sisters of the Order of the Purple Communion, though it is a slow effort as the many agricultural towers and domes hide many leftover plague zombies or survivors of the general purge, both planned for execution to avoid the world suffering another widespread plague. Production has resumed however, and with every agri-complex liberated more and more crates of Caliphornus nutriloaf are shipped out to meet the raw demands of Eternum's citizens.
