Overview

The agri-world responsible for feeding the bulk of the Crimson Bulwark's serfs and the Bulwark itself, Ayr is a superhabitable world with excessively growing flora and fauna. The crops of Ayr are not particularly tasty, though they have a minorly agreeable taste when processed into nutriloaf. The foodstuffs produced by the world are spartan, but they do not actively taste bad like some of the other agriworld's processed food. The planet is not officially a recruitment world of the Crimson Bulwark, though their close relationship with Ayr has led to the occasional promising aspirant chosen. The people of Ayr are better warriors than normally found on Agri-worlds, as the massive and hungry native life will target them as much as their normal prey, thus every farmclave has a group of defenders responsible for protecting non-combatants, and it is this group that occasionally shows promise to have one or more aspirants. Ayr was subject to an invasion during the First Poxwar, though it was defeated by a combined force of Crimson Hammer and Guard defenders. To date Ayr has had no other serious incidents, though occasionally the marines that trace their lineage to one of the farmclaves will return to defeat a particularly brutal monster that's grown beyond the farmclave's defenders ability to handle.
