Overview
An agri-world overseen by the Mechanicus noted for its very bland foodstuffs, Harvet Pentacles serves an important role as a supplier of technically edible food.
Mechanicus Oversight
Although an agri-world overseen and controlled by genators of the Adeptus Mechanicus of Filimars, Harvet Pentacles pays tithes to the greater Imperium instead of sending its output to Filimars due to an ancient agreement between Confedus's elector count and the forge world. In exchange, the Genators receive a fresh supply of convicts, indentured servants, and unlucky individuals who were at the wrong place at the wrong time, to do with as they see fit. These individuals are oft turned into agricultural servitors (either man sized or combine sized), while the more able bodied or individuals who technically are supposed to be freed one day are forced to work the fields along with the servitorized versions of their peers. A small unlucky few, whose genetic makeup peeked the interest of the biologis magoses, are instead taken to arcane facilities where they are experimented on or used in novel agricultural machines. The genators of Harvet Pentacles are always looking for new ways to improve crop yield, and they are constantly on the lookout for new strands of genetic material that could be inserted into a novel crop to improve production. This experimentation sometimes veers lightly into tech-heresy, but the more radical biologis hide their work from any juris or more orthodox tech-priests. They even look for useful genetic data in xeno species, and a common cold trade is xeno corpses (or very rarely, a live xeno) for the genators to dissect. Still, Harvet Pentacles avoids any detailed investigation since it always exceeds its tithe requirements, with enough provisions leftover to serve as bribes for any political maneuvering needed. Bland and tasteless by design, the ration-blocks produced by Harvet Pentacles are commonly found throughout the sector, made up of the blended crops it produces and oft despised by all but the most hungry individual.
