Overview

A bastion of civilization in a hostile region of space, Innsmuth is an Imperial planet mostly in name only with the capital city of Dunwall serving as the seat of the world's government. Protected by robotic relics of the dark age of technology, the system's rulers use them to defend against any who would try to seize their worlds. The worlds themselves seem steeped in chaos and darkness, covered in permanent fog and filled with terrifying creatures, society runs off of whale oil harvested from monstrous leviathans. The relics have gathered the attention of the Mechanicus, though political bickering between those who want to destroy them and those who want to save them have kept any action from being taken. The relics require more whale oil to run every year though, and fewer and fewer whales are being found.
