Overview

A pleasure world unlike most, Rivmon is designed to take advantage of nobles seeking escape from their busy lives and who want to enjoy the simpler life if only temporarily. Rivmon offers a chance, for those who can afford it, to live as a simple farmer akin to the stories told in the schlocky literature consumed by nobility so commonly, by maintaining an estate by ordering serfs to do things for them. Each estate allows the nobles to pretend to be farmers by ordering serfs and menials around to gather crops or fix fences in controlled environments, all granting the illusion the nobles seek. Rivmon's government takes full advantage of this, and has capitalized well on getting nobles to pay to be overseers while Rivmon profits twice. This has occasionally backfired when a noble pushes too hard (even for the average noble) or has certain dark proclivities, though Rivmon can easily pay to silence rumors of menials turning on their master for pay and slaughtering them in their sleep. Rivmon's close relationship with Eternum's nobility has ensured it suffers no significant tithe or reclassification into a more useful world, even as war encroaches on its pleasant fields.
